Ten Year Old Catches Red Fish

Our ten year old son went on a fishing charter in Mosquito Lagoon and while using a top water jig, landed this beautiful red fish at dawn. What a way to start a day.
What a site!!!

With gas prices being what they are, this site gives you a chance to see if the fishing is steady or if you should stay home. Jimbo (Thomas) is always spot on with his report and it is without question something that is necessary for recreational anglers. There nothing worse than dropping a couple of hundred dollars and getting skunked. This site and it\'s info gives you the tools to hit the right spots. Good luck and enjoy!!! Ray
Biscayne Bay

Listened to Alan Shermans report and headed for Biscayne Bay. Launched at 79th St. Causeway at 6am and was surprised that there were not many boats for the 2 day lobster season. Fished the grass flats using Gulp Polys under a floater "Suggested by Alan" and limited out on 18" Sea Trout. Nothing else just trout which was the target for the day. As Alan said as soon as it heats up the bite stops. Water was 88 dgrees at 6 am and by 9:30 it was 91 degrees. Alan gives a great report. I almost hate to go fishing without checking this site first. Thanks Alan.
Jensen Beach

Tried some of Mike Holidays fishing tips yesterday. Launched at the Jesen Causewasy 6:30am. Fished nettles and power plant area. 2 lady fish, 1 snapper and alot of blue fish. We found a herd. They usually come in schools but this was a herd feeding on the surface. Then we tried for the tripple tail on the markers but no co-operation from the triple tails. The water was getting way hot so we headed for the inlet area to fish the cooler incoming tide. Fished the edge of the flats and had some sea trout action but all 14". Then the highlight of the day. Hotter than blazes and In 18" of crystal clear water a 25# snook inhaled my (favorite) DOA shrimp and the action was on. To watch a big snook run and jump across the flats has got to be exciting for anyone. I worried about the 20lb leader but it held up. After a great fight we revived and released a great fighting snook. I hope someone else has a much fun catching him as I did. Thanks for all the great insider information on the Jense Beach inshore fishing.
